Your private information is important and Horizon International Solutions (hereafter referred to as "the company") takes care in protecting your privacy and personal information.  The company collects some information from applicants, including, but not limited to:  requestor name(s),  names, addresses, email addresses, phone and fax numbers, and information about educational and employment background and credentials. This information is used in conjunction with the writing of an expert opinion and other services of an applicant's credentials and employment for purposes of issuing professional expert opinion letters and other services. The company takes all reasonable steps to protect an applicant's privacy.

If you communicate with the company via email, or request that the company communicate with you via email, the contents of your emails and the company responses, together with your email address, will be retained. Additionally, any form based information requests from the company website will also be retained. 

As is standard in the business community, the company also gathers information about how its website is utilized by visitors. This information is used collectively and contains no personal identification information. The company do not disclose, sell, trade or rent any information obtained in this way to outside parties. We may disclose certain aggregate data, such as the number of visitors in a given time period or the most frequently accessed pages, to others.     • To contact designated recipients of expert opinion letters or services, educational institutions the applicant has attended, employers and governmental institutions/agencies for additional information and/or verification of the authenticity of the applicant's credentials and employer letters;

    • To prevent or protect against fraud or illegal activities;

    • To institutions, agencies, employers, legal representatives, or other recipients as designated by the applicant.

  • The company will confirm, without the necessity of any further consent from the applicant, whether or not any services or deliverable report was issued by the company.

  • Except as stated above, the company will not sell or distribute any information provided to any third parties.

The company uses a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of its applicants' personal information that it receives online. These measures include sophisticated encryption and authentication tools. All applicants' personal information received online is maintained within secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights and who are required to keep the information confidential. When an applicant submits an application or wishes to access his/her personal information, the company offers the use of a secure server. All credit card information that is supplied is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology (and any additional security measures) and is only accessed as stated above.

Phishing
"Phishing" refers to emails sent to individuals containing genuine-looking messages that instruct them to provide sensitive personal information. Individuals who open these emails and their attachments are exposed to identity theft. Phishing occurs when an individual receives a deceptively-legitimate looking email from what appears to be a recognized or reputable company. The email asks recipients to update their credit card or account information. The Horizon company does not send emails with links to update your information. The company is not responsible for phishing attempts by identity thieves, which use the Horizon International Solutions name or identification.

Changes to Privacy Policy
Horizon reserves the right to change, modify or supplement this Privacy Policy at any time. Any such changes will be posted on the company website, which can be reviewed by anyone at any time.
